Anointed Partnership: Walking in Endless Triumph

October 18, 20234 min read

In today's discourse, I am thrilled to delve into profound revelations that unfolded during my recent sojourn in Surinam. The Holy Spirit, in His wisdom, illuminated certain scriptures, weaving them together into a tapestry that speaks to the essence of our existence as the body of Christ. This divine connection, where seemingly disparate elements align to form a cohesive narrative, is a testament to the intricate work of the Holy Spirit.

As we embark on this exploration, I am reminded of the pervasive notion that God is continually at work, not in isolation but with us as active participants in His grand design. Acknowledging our role in God's plan, let us affirm together in the comments, "I am part of God's plan."

Turning our attention to 2 Corinthians chapter 2, the Apostle Paul, writing to the Corinthian church, extols the perpetual visibility of God's grace in Christ. A pivotal verse, 2 Corinthians 2:14 in the Passion Translation, declares, "God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless Triumph." This proclamation unravels the layers of significance embedded in our partnership with Christ.

Embracing Our Role as Partners in Endless Triumph

God's perpetual demonstration of grace finds its culmination in Christ, and as believers, we are not passive observers but active partners in His enduring victory. The key lies in understanding the nature of this partnership, elucidated in the phrase "endless Triumph." Our role is not confined to occasional triumphs; rather, it extends to an unceasing, boundless victory.

In Isaiah, the concept of endless Triumph echoes as it envisions a government resting upon Christ's shoulders, with no end to His rule. The continuous, boundless Triumph mentioned by Paul resonates with the perpetual nature of Christ's governance.

The Unveiling of Anointing

Drawing inspiration from the anointing of David as king in 1 Samuel, we unravel profound truths about the criteria God employs in His selection. Unlike human tendencies to judge by outward appearances, God's choice is anchored in the heart. David, initially relegated to the sidelines, emerges as the chosen one, not because of his stature or conventional qualifications but because of the condition of his heart.

In our lives, this narrative holds a mirror to the truth that God's selection is not based on societal standards or external accolades. We, too, are anointed, chosen for a purpose that transcends the superficial. Our surrender to God's lordship becomes the catalyst for spreading the fragrance of the knowledge of God.

Navigating Seasons and Shifts

The discourse expands to acknowledge the inherent shifts and transitions in our lives, mirroring the biblical theme of times and seasons. Embracing the understanding that every season has a purpose, we find ourselves in a unique time—charged with significance. The discomfort and uneasiness preceding a shift are acknowledged as precursors to God's transformative work.

God, in His sovereignty, seeks a remnant—a people set apart for His purposes. The narrative of David's anointing is emblematic of this truth, where God looks beyond conventional expectations and chooses those whose hearts align with His.

Anchored in Surrender

As partners in God's endless Triumph, our surrendered lives become the vehicle through which the fragrance of the knowledge of God permeates every sphere we occupy. The aroma of victory accompanies us, distinguishing us as the unmistakable aroma of the anointed one.

This surrender is not a one-time event but an ongoing process—a recognition that we are anointed not just for personal victories but to be giant-killers in the lives of others. The story of Caleb, possessing a different spirit, exemplifies the courage required to see beyond challenges and claim the promises of God.

Embracing the Process

Acknowledging our anointing is only the beginning. The subsequent process, much like David's journey from anointing to kingship, involves facing challenges, enduring the unexpected, and maintaining faith in the unseen. Our surrendered lives, marked by an unwavering commitment to God's lordship, become the catalyst for spreading the fragrance of victory.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this journey of understanding our anointing and partnership in God's endless Triumph is a call to embrace our unique roles in His grand narrative. Beyond appearances, beyond discomfort, beyond seasons, we stand anointed, equipped, and chosen. Our surrendered lives become a testimony—a living epistle that spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God.

So, let us embark on this journey with hearts surrendered, aware of our anointing, and confident in our partnership with the victorious Christ.

In every season, in every shift, in every challenge, we declare, "I am part of God's plan, anointed for such a time as this."

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace, the absence of all things harmful, the presence of all thing beneficial, nothing missing, nothing broken. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
